Finding Your People: Making Friends in New York City

There’s one thing that I couldn’t pack-up and bring with me New York City. No matter how hard I tried to fit them in my suitcase, it just wouldn’t work. It’s hard to leave behind your favorite thing. Especially when that favorite thing has seen you through your darkest days, been your source of ab-aching laughter, and was a staple of your everyday life for as far back as you can remember. Of course, I’m referring to my friends. No matter how hard I tried, they couldn’t come with me. So, I ventured off to New York without them and I quickly realized making friends as an adult was much…

The Tale of The Sexy Sax Man

The first time I was introduced to the Sexy Sax Man was in Tenerife. I was lucky enough to be spending three weeks on that glorious piece of the earth. It was my second summer with the company. It was only my second time crossing the sea. Each year we travel to a beautiful destination and spend three weeks orchestrating the judging for our main award show. Year one we went to Malta, Year two was Tenerife, year three was Bali. So for three weeks each summer I move into a beautiful resort, work incredibly hard, and make the some of the most wonderful memories life has to offer.

Appreciate the Colors: On Being Thankful For Your Blessings

This past year, the final year of my 20s, has been filled with blessings. There are no big or small blessings; they’re one size fits all. It’s important that you take a moment each day to pause and be thankful for your blessings. My blessings have been plentiful. In the past year I’ve traveled to San Francisco, Napa Valley, Vermont, Connecticut, Boston, Philadelphia, and Bali all for the first time. I’ve also revisited the lands that raised me: Cincinnati, Kentucky and Savannah. I’ve come to know more of the world, and in doing so, I’ve come to know more of myself. Counting Your Blessings ♥ I am a strong, confident,…
